Glen operates as the Chief Pilot (CP) and Chief Flying
Instructor (CFI) for Melbourne Flight Training. He has been
flying for over 25 years throughout Australia, Asia and
the Pacific Islands. He is a Grade 1 Multi Engine IFR Instructor.

Peter Ancona
Grade 1 Instructor
(Owner)
Peter is a Grade 1 Multi Engine IFR Instructor with
approximately 10,000 flying hours. He has worked as an Instructor
and moved on to flying for Regional Airlines. He is currently
a Captain on the Boeing 737 for Virgin Blue Airlines.

Melissa Miller
Melissa
is our Office Manager and looks after the day to day operation
of the School. She enjoys shucking oysters and drinking
sauvignon blanc in her spare time. When work isn’t
interfering with her social life she holds the company together
and will be your contact person for most enquiries.

Steve Galjar
Steve
is a Grade 1 Multi Engine IFR Instructor and the Deputy
CFI. Steve has approximately 4,000 hours flight experience.
He was previously employed on coastal surveillance operations
on the King Air 200 and Search and Rescue. He has also been
involved at a management level providing flight training
to various international airlines.

Mr John Paizis
John
is a Grade 1 Multi-Engine IFR Instructor with over 6,000
hours. John is an ex CFI/Chief Pilot of one of Australia’s
largest university aeronautical schools and has lectured
in aeronautical subjects at university level. |

Alessio Favaretto
Alessio
is a Multi Engine IFR Instructor with over 2,700 hours experience.
He has worked extensively with airline training programs
and holds a King Air endorsement. He holds a Diploma in
Aviation and certificate IV in training and assessment.

Cameron Meyer
Cameron is
a Grade 1 Instructor and has had many years experience in
the industry. His forte' is our intensive Instructor Rating
Course. Outside of flying Cameron enjoys chooks, long walks
with his dogs and his beloved MG. |

Dave Prossor
Dave is a Grade 1 Instructor with over 8,000 hours and
30 years of Aviation industry experience. Dave has experience
in over 85 aircraft types including twins and float planes.
He also writes two columns in a popular Australian aviation
magazine.

David Van Rysewyk
David
is a Grade 1 Instructor with IFR Multi Engine Training Approval.
He has been involved in varying facets of the aviation industry
for the past 10 years. Some of his roles have included Airport
Manager, B747 load controller, Flight Instructor both in
Australia and Fiji. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in
Aviation and has flown a Learjet on medical and VIP charter
flights.

Reinhard Looringh van Beeck
Has a very long name, as a result most people at MFT
refer to him as Rhino. He holds a Grade 1 and Multi Engine
Training Approval. His primary responsibilities at our school
are instructor ratings and multi engine training approvals,
however Rhino still does assist with commercial and private
pilot training as well.

David Phillipson
David is a Grade 1 Instructor with Multi Engine Training
Approval and came to aviation through the Australian Air
Force Cadets. He was involved in aerial fire fighting with
the Department of Sustainability and Environment. David
has a Bachelor of Technology in Aviation.

Chris Payne
Chris is a Grade 1 Multi Engine IFR Instructor who has
approximately 1,500 hours flying experience. He has been
working as an Instructor for the past 3 years with Chinese
Airline cadet training. He coordinated IFR programs, safety
management and he is an all round good bloke! He is also
a purveyor of fine foods.

Graeme Hodges
Graeme is a Grade 1 Instructor and has 17,000 hours
flying experience over a period of 40 years in the industry.
He has worked in the role of Chief Flying Instructor and
Chief Pilot and held testing approvals. Graeme is responsible
for Instructor Rating training and company auditing.

Ben Topp
Ben is a Grade 1 Instructor and has been involved in
the Aviation Industry since 1984. Ben specialises in teaching
IFR theory.

Ermin Javier
Ermin is a Grade 2 Instructor and comes to us from a
background with the Philippine Airforce. He has in excess
of 2,000 hours.

David Wright
David is a Grade 2 Instructor and first learnt to fly
at Berwick in 1980. David comes from a business background
heavily involved in customer service.

Charles Hessmann
Charles is a Grade 2 Instructor and a proud member of
the MFT family since early 2009. Charles completed his training
in Sydney and has a Bachelor Degree in Economics from Macquarie
University. He also holds a Multi Engine Command Instrument
Rating and enjoys flying for Angel Flight occasionally.

Nick
is a Grade 2 Instructor with over 2,000 hours experience.
Nick has worked as an Instructor for the last 3 years and
has also been involved in charter & Search and Rescue
operations. Nick won a competition for “Beard of the
Year” and particularly likes long walks along the
beach….we worry about him sometimes!

Jason
is a Grade 2 Instructor with a background in charter operations
and has extensive mechanical experience. Jason holds a Bachelor
of Technology in Aviation.

Dan Giblin
Dan is a Grade 2 Instructor with approximately 2,000
hours flying experience including Charter and RPT operations.
He has endorsements on a large number of multi engine aircraft.

Alex Santiago
Alex is a Grade 3 Instructor and joined MFT after completing
the Instructor Rating Course in 2008. He was bitten by the
aviation bug at a very early age and decided he wanted to
be a Pilot around the age of 5.

Max has
in excess of 6000 hours and had worked in a number of roles
in the general aviation industry including time as a CFI
in a large size school. He has also taught at many of the
Melbourne universities in aviation theory classes. Max also
has flown Metros in charter operations.
