Enrolment Procedure
Enrolment for Private Pilot License theory is for the whole course only.
Enrolment for Commercial Pilot License theory can be any number of individual classes or the entire course. A class being a particular subject taught for a number of days.
Enrolment for other theory courses is for the whole course only.
Use one of the following methods to enrol no later than 7 days prior to the commencement of the course.

- Complete an enrolment slip and submit to the Office Manager or Assistant (Melissa or Jessica)
For 'On Demand' courses, please consult your MFT Instructor or the CFI so that they can be considered.
Non MFT students are welcome to enrol, however priority allocation will be given to MFT students.
Acceptance for enrolment is conditional on class capacity and the prerequisites listed below.
Course Fees
For non-international students, course fees are payable in full prior to the commencement of the course unless prior arrangements have been made. The course fee includes GST.
Except under exceptional conditions, course fees are non-refundable.
The cost of CASA examinations is borne by the student.
Prerequisites
For Private Pilot License theory a student must have completed either an examination for Basic Aeronautical Knowledge (BAK) or the MFT 'GFPT Assignment' to qualify for enrolment.
For Commercial Pilot License theory a student must have completed the CASA PPLA examination and completed their first Navigation exercise (flight).
Equipment Required
The following schedules specify the equipment that a student must provide for particular classes. The student has the right to choose the brands and cost of the equipment to suit their personal requirements, consequently the equipment is not provided nor forms part of the course fee.
The equipment list is in addition to the conventional pads, pens, pencils, etc that a student should bring along.
Progress Tests And Examinations
Where appropriate, progress tests are conducted during and at the end of each subject class. This provides the student with an opportunity to identify weak components and seek further clarification and guidance.
For the Private Pilot License, the CASA 'PPLA' formal examination is conducted 'in-house' under strict supervision. The examination takes the form of a cyber examination using randomised questions generated by CASA. Pass mark required is 70%.
For each subject of the Commercial Pilot License, the student is required to attend an Assessment Services Pty Ltd examination centre (ASL). Bookings are made on an 'as required' basis by the student, however, most Mondays following each subject class is designated as free time and an opportunity to sit each examination. Additional Information
Where possible, training includes 'hands on' practice (e.g. reviewing actual aircraft engine components in a hangar), visits to Control Towers, and other activities that supplement development.

Compliance
The content of all courses are determined by CASA's Day (VFR) Syllabus Aeroplanes, Issue 4.2, January 2010. The syllabus specifies the Competancy Based Training standards for each subject to which a student must achieve. The syllabus details can be viewed here.
