OBTAINING
A VISA
A
- Pre-Visa Assessment
Prior to any commitment
from Institutions in Australia, an applicant may have to contact
the Australian Embassy and arrange for a "PRE-VISA
ASSESSMENT" depending upon country of origin.
The Embassy will
charge a fee for this service.
B
- Application
After the applicant
has passed the Pre-Visa Assessment, an application for training
should be made to Melbourne Flight Training, containing the
following:
1.
Original Pre-Visa Assessment Preliminary Approval Letter.
2. Completed
Enrolment Form
3. Overseas Student
Guidelines for Payment and Refund Policy, signed and returned
with enrolment form.
4. Payment to cover minimum training required
and accommodation if required.
Cheque / Draft should be in Australian Dollars and made out
to:
"Melbourne Flight Training Pty Ltd"
{note} Funds
are drawn only against actual administration costs and flying
and ground training provided. For example, flying training actually
carried out is charged to students accounts at the end of each
week.

Melbourne Flight Training recommends that it is better for pilot
trainees to obtain their home country's Aviation Medical Certificate
before leaving their own country, if he/she wishes to work as
career pilots in their own country, after training in Australia.
All pilot trainees
must also meet Australian Aviation Medical standards before
training can start.
C
- Receipt of documents
On receipt of the
documents listed above, Melbourne Flight Training will forward
to you:
1. Acceptance Advice
Form.
2. Receipt of funds deposited to the Student's account.
3. Receipt for payment of Overseas Student Health Cover.
4. Membership number of this Overseas Student Health Cover.
For the issue of
a Student Visa, the above mentioned documents should be presented
to the Australian Embassy.
NOTE: STUDENTS
FROM COUNTRIES NOT REQUIRING PRE-VISA ASSESSMENT SHOULD FOLLOW
PROCEDURES B-2,3,4, 5 & C.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT
YOU RETAIN COPIES OF ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS FORWARDED TO MELBOURNE
FLIGHT TRAINING.
